Hey there ppl,
what are you guys doing for your main project? Whats the topic u r having in mind. Share it with others. Let others know what you gotta show.

Well, me, being in mechanical, we got this project thing related to, obviously, mech and a bit of electronics and a bit of robotics and a bit of this and that. Its, as we call it, a bionic arm or a biomechanical actuated robotic arm. A robotic arm which simlates the movement of the human arm and replicates in the robot, featuring 3 D.O.F. A combnation of what, u can say, an exoskeleton and robotic arm. An internal project.

So what do u think?

Ok, here goes mine...its a pretty ambitious project I would say, just hope we can get something together...
We're trying to develop a Traffic Control System based on Image Processing that switches signals based on the density of traffic rather than have a fixed duration for the signals. This should help clear traffic faster...we've not settled on an algorithm yet, but we're thinking of a box detection technique which detects the edges and classifies the vehicles into *big* boxes and *small* boxes, to put it as non-technical as I could get, the big boxes being cars and other vehicles and the small ones being the two-wheelers...hope to pull it through with this one, still looking for a better algorithm though...

That's about it regarding my project, lets hear from others...

hi.. my project is about "smart energy meter"..actualy this project is our own idea .but we know later that it is partialy done in other countries.this meter consisits of a server and the metering unit..this metering unit reads the voltage,current&power factor ,which when multiply with the time gets energy..this energy on the meter is transmitted to the main server through a gsm module..the server can transmit the tariff to the meter when the tariff changes..byanalysing the meter in the peak time we can eliminate the power theft....

Let me share my project too..

we plan to design and implement an automatic drilling machine...sounds..a little bit mech...rite..? but v concentrate on the control part...It's a control engineering project...the controller v use is the most popular industrial controller, the PLC..The algorithm is almost ready....the mechanical construction part is also 75% completed..Now the electrical connection circuits and the software part has to be completed. Our machine can automatically load a workpiece drill a hole on the workpiece and can drop it into a box...bye..
